"Way back in 2011 or 2012, when life was extremely busy, we had been married over 20 years and my cooking was not getting any more creative (!), my husband "gave me" Heather one night a week as my Christmas present. It was the greatest gift our entire family has ever received! She is the perfect personal chef. When we are trying to cut down on calories, eat in a healthy way -- she has delicious, creative and innovative ways to get us fresh and local food. When we are in the mood to splurge and eat like kings and queens, she cooks us gourmet spreads with the professional skills of a Michelin star chef.
She has cooked Japanese, French, Italian, Spanish, Indian, Mexican, California American, Chinese, you name it... for us and everything is delicious, fresh, local (when possible) and carefully prepared. She will cook and leave while you eat, cook and stay/clean up or even drop off you night's meal....whatever your time allows. She is flexible, easy-going, and positive.
She has gone from cooking while our middle schooler did homework with her at the kitchen counter to cooking Christmas dinner for our extended family; from managing hors d'oeuvres and drinks at a reception to catering a formal dinner party for 25; from filling up two coolers of food for our family beach week to teaching me how to make certain dishes. She can do it all.

Heather started her culinary career in high school, working in several restaurants and catering companies. In 2005, she attended the University of Johnson & Wales in Charlotte, North Carolina where she successfully attained a Bachelors degree in Food and Beverage management. Chef Heather then started a career with the world's largest food service provider, Compass Group. In just a few years, Heather was made an Executive Chef in charge of managing a facility that served top executives in Uptown Charlotte. Throughout this time, Chef Heather has pursued private chef work and maintained several clients while still advancing her career. Now that Chef heather has moved on from the corporate grind, she is able to focus full time on her true passion of cooking for individual clients.
